This background parallax effect WordPress tutorial makes a section feel less flat, the background holds still while your content scrolls over it. It’s one of the smallest changes in Mosaic that still makes a real visual difference.

Add a background image

Add a background image to the section

Select the section you want the effect on, then in the Style panel add a background image, swapping out the placeholder for the image you actually want to use.

Turn on Fixed for the background

Enable the Fixed option on that same background. That one setting locks the image in place while the rest of the content scrolls past it.

Result

The background now stays put as visitors scroll, while everything else moves normally, a small change that makes the section feel more dynamic without any extra styling.
