This connect WordPress form to Mailchimp tutorial takes just a few minutes to set up. Once it’s done, every submission becomes a Mailchimp contact automatically, not just their email, every mapped field and tag comes along with it.
Connect your Mailchimp API key
In your Mailchimp account settings, generate an API key. This is what lets Mosaic talk to your Mailchimp audience.
In Mosaic’s settings, scroll to Integrations and paste in your Mailchimp API key. This is a one-time setup, every form on your site can use it from here on.
Set up the form action
Select your Form element, open its settings, and add a new action that sends submissions to Mailchimp.
Pick which Mailchimp audience the form should add new contacts to.
Map the fields
Match your form’s fields, name, email, experience level, and so on, to their corresponding fields in Mailchimp, so each submission logs the right data instead of just an email address.
For a checkbox field where someone can select more than one option, map it to a Mailchimp field that accepts multiple values, so every selection gets logged instead of just the last one.
Add any tags you want new contacts tagged with, then set their subscription status so they’re marked as subscribed the moment they submit the form.
Preview and confirm it works
Submit the form yourself to see the connection in action.
Confirm the entry shows up in Mosaic’s form submissions and as a new contact in Mailchimp, with all its mapped fields and tags intact.
Result
Your form now adds a Mailchimp contact the moment someone submits it, complete with their mapped fields, tags, and opt-in status, no separate integration plugin needed.
