System requirements

To ensure Mosaic runs smoothly and delivers the best possible performance, your server and browser environment must meet certain requirements.

Recommended configuration

  • WordPress latest version
  • PHP 8.4 or greater
  • MySQL 8.0 or greater or MariaDB 10.6 or greater
  • CDN configured
  • Memory limit of 512mb or more

Minimum configuration

  • WordPress 6.5
  • PHP 7.4
  • MySQL 8.0 or MariaDB 10.6
  • Memory limit of 256mb or more

PHP configuration

  • Upload limitation: Minimum 8MB to be able to install Mosaic by uploading the zip file. If the limitation is smaller, or you’re not sure about the value, ask your host!
  • Component: GD – Graphics directory. Usually it is enabled on every web-server, but if not, feel free to ask your hosting provider. They will enable it for you. Make sure they also enable the WebP support!
  • Component: CURL. It needed for the activation, import and update.
  • DOM extension

Supported browsers

Editing

Mosaic supports the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. Touchscreen editing is not currently supported. For the best editing experience, always use the most up-to-date browser version.

Frontend

Mosaic supports the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, and mobile browsers on Android and iOS released within the past two years. Older browsers are not supported, as they typically lack modern coding standards. Mosaic leverages the latest web technologies to ensure fast, efficient rendering and the best possible user experience.
